1. Overview
These instructions describe how to install The Cricket Analyst onto a new computer. Before you begin:
a. Make sure that your computer meets the system requirements
- Please refer to the recommended hardware specifications. In particular, the computer must be running Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, or Windows 7 with SP1+. b. Close any open applications or documents.
2. Preparing your computer - Prerequisite software
Prior to installing the Cricket Analyst there are prerequisite software. - NET 10 Runtime or higher (Oct 2026) .
- This can be installed off Company portal for all Australian Cricket devices or from the Fairplay Website
3. Installing Fairplay
Similar to prerequisite software - Fairplay install can be done either through Company portal or from Fairplay Website.
- Once the install has been complete, when entering Analyser you will be prompted with license screen. Take a screenshot of the license (like below) and send it to support@fairplay.com.au - saying your name and organization.
- Fairplay will response with corresponding keys, once entered you will be able to utilize the software.
4. Updating Analyzer/Reciever
Frequently Fairplay will push updates to the software with enhancements and bug related fixes to improve user experience of the product. You can subscribe to updates via the Fairplay support portal (email - support@fairplay.com.au), to understand the breath of updates.
When opening analyzer you may be asked to update, the following considerations to be made prior to updating
- Are you currently in or about to commence a match, where this could affect your experience
- Does your have local database content that is yet to reach the cloud.
You may get this prompt for both Analyzer & Receiver. If you are unsure to whether you have the most recent updates - Go References > Options > "Check now" and Analyzer will inform whether a new version is available.
