Introduction
Connecting to live incoming and outgoing feeds within Analyzer, allows the coder to share real-time data with coaching staff, players, performance analysts, other match stakeholders and the Data Warehouse.
From these connections, dashboards provided by Analyzer or custom dashboards created by a Performance Analyst from Cricket Australia’s Data Warehouse, enable thorough exploration of player statistics, match scenarios, and historical trends. This also offers a comprehensive view that aids decision-making, planning, and preparation for a series or major world tournaments.
This document provides a detailed explanation on how to establish connections with both incoming and outgoing feeds within Analyzer, in conjunction with the Receiver application.
Incoming Live Data Feeds
Live incoming data feeds to Analyzer are currently sourced from the following third-party providers:
- Hawkeye
- Virtual Eye
- Collaborative Coding
- Opta Data
To connect to the incoming feeds above, please follow these steps.
- Open Analyzer, select your match and innings to set up your match coding interface

2. Select View on the top left toolbar and tap on Incoming Data Feeds

3. By selecting Incoming Data Feeds, this opens another Window – Import Live Data from Cloud

4. Tap on Manage Feeds and tick your required 3rd party incoming live data feeds and then press OK. We highly recommend always selecting ‘Collaborative Coding’ as this allows another operator to overlay existing coding or additional events.

5. Tick Enabled to connect to Incoming Live Data Feeds. Data will start flowing confirming a connection. Analyzer finds your match after updating others, which can take some time if there hasn't been a recent connection. Connect well before the match begins to ensure data arrives by ball 1. Finally, minimise the window to be ready for the first delivery.

Note 1: Analyzer allows you to select what data you wish to import live from Hawkeye and Opta. Select the Ellipsis boxes (yellow … box) below to make changes.

Note 2: Collaborative Coding is a feature within Analyzer that allows another user, either onsite or remotely, to edit or add additional events – during a match live or post-match. Instructions and a video tutorial are coming soon to Zen Desk.

Outgoing Data Feeds
This feature in Analyzer allows users to send real-time match data and video to Fair Play’s Cloud Service, facilitating live data and video sharing with other stakeholders who are using Analyzer together with the Receiver application.
The process of integrating both the Analyzer and the Receiver applications with Fair Play’s Cloud Service consists of two steps:
Step 1: The coder connects to Fair Play’s Cloud in Analyzer to transmit data and video.
Step 2: Stakeholders to access this data and video, Analyzer and the Receiver applications must be open and connected to Fair Play’s Cloud on a user’s laptop.
Note: Once a coder connects to Fair Play’s Cloud, all coding events and any nominated incoming data feeds flow through to the Data Warehouse automatically.
Step 1 – Connecting Analyzer to Fair Play’s Cloud Service
- From the match coding interface, select the View tab on the top left corner of the screen, and tap on Outgoing Data Feed

2. Tap on Connect and the data will flow start to flow to Fair Play’s Cloud. Minimise the Outgoing Feed window to avoid disruption to your coding interface. Please be aware that the Connect button includes a 30-second automatic connection function, which will connect you to Fair Play’s Cloud if you do not manually select the Connect option within that timeframe.

Note:
To allow Analyzer to transmit data and video clips to the cloud, confirm that the Broadcast settings in the Options Tab are ticked as indicated below. If these options are not enabled, the ‘Outgoing Data Feed’ will not be available within Match options, which will prevent you from proceeding with Step 1, items 1 and 2 referenced above.

3. If Analyzer will not connect to Fair play’s Cloud Service, please check the following:
a) You are connected to an internet source.
b) Broadcast options are selected in the Options Tab
c) The server address, username and password are correct – see Step 2, page 10 of this document to confirm these details.

Step 2 – Connecting Receiver to Fair Play’s Cloud
- Open Receiver, and ensure that the Server Address, Username and Password are correct and that Download, Directly and Avoid Overwriting local edits boxes are ticked before tapping on the Connect button.

Note: If the Download Video box is not checked, no video will be uploaded to Fair Play’s Cloud and won’t be available to others. Additionally, if using a 3rd Party coder and the Avoid overwriting local edits box is not ticked, any changes made at the match venue or by a Collaborative Coder during the days play, will be overwritten by the 3rd party coder.
2. After tapping on the Connect button, highlight your match and tap on the Select button in the Select Feed window.

3. Data will now begin to appear, indicating that there is a successful connection to Fair Play's cloud service.

4. If the connection is not successful or you cannot see your match, please check the following and try again:
a) You are connected to the internet.
b) The server address, username and password are correct – see instruction 1 in Step 2
c) You have already connected to Fair Play’s Cloud in Analyzer – see Step 1 instructions
