Frogbox - CA Match Day Setup

A typical Frogbox video capture setup within CA series will be done through a scissor lift & therefore most of this documentation will be under this assumption.

1. Camera Setup & Angle

• Ensure that camera is setup directly behind stumps
• Make sure that you can capture the bowlers arm extended at far end of screen & allow for graphics at the bottom of screen
• Maximum height is preferred, this will make the process repeatable in the event of technical issues or weather
• Protect your equipment from weather, it will be exposed to heat & rain ensure that it is not exposed to metal where possible.
• In the case of wet weather tarps or garage bags with appropriate taping should be able to protect the kit
• Make sure cables are neat & have slack to allow movement throughout day, ensure that antennas are exposed for connection. *Note - try to loop Camera HDMI cords this will prevent stretching of cords & potential technical issues.

2. Encoder Setup

• Take Encoder out of Frogbox kit
• Attach both WIFI and 4G antennae to their respective screws 
• Turn on (hold down) and check battery and IP – often this will take a few minutes so turn the frog box on and then attach cords/set-up camera to allow for connection.

• Connect frog box to camera via the HDMI cable. If the feed is live this will connect directly to the stream, so be aware of what is filmed and what you are saying! 
• Connect charging cord to battery pack or adapter. Ensure the frog box is charging as signified by a red light on the battery symbol or the charging symbol on the screen 

3. Video Viewing / Video Capture

• Once video & encoder setup it should be setup to broadcast on YouTube via the Cricket Australia YouTube channel & also FrogboxGo.

• This is where you can choose to view or capture footage for analytics purposes. The technical aspects of this can be found through Video Capture articles.

• FrogboxGo is critical for the preparation of scheduling matches for broadcast, aswell as troubleshooting issues during the match. If you do not have access to Frogbox go talk to relevant State or CA contact to get added.
