There will be situations where live capture of AthletesAI is not achievable, however assuming that video capture follows similar protocols of that in Live capture - AthleteAI can be run post-match to then be ingested into analyser & the data warehouse.
There are 2 ways this can be done - Short video or Long video mode
Short Video
- Setup & Preparation
- This alludes to the fact video has been captured into the Fairplay analyser system in a ball by ball basis- which will be attributed to MatchId & relevant naming conventions
- Similarly to the Live capture - video will need to be captured at 50 FPS for optimal results & provide adequate sizing of the pitch for calibration.
- Ensure that the match shell has Write Requests & Read Responses
- Calibration, Execution & Ingestion
Once it is confirmed that match coding in your local database and is video available on a local video folder - Open Analyser and follow the required steps,
- To initiate the process, from the top menu in Analyzer, choose Reference / Utilities / Write Athletes AI requests.
- This will prompt you to select a match; choose the appropriate match and press OK.
- This will write Athletes AI requests in bulk to the folder you have configured to hold these requests (by default, C:\FairPlay\Cricket\AthletesAI\Requests). You should receive a message saying that this is done.
- At this point, we would expect that Athletes AI would notice these requests and start processing them. Assuming this is working as expected, Athletes AI will start writing position responses to its standard output folder
Once complete the next step will be to get Analyzer to consume them. This is done via the main coding screen, just as if you were consuming this positional information from Athletes AI while coding the match live.
- To get started, open the match as if for coding. While going through the Setup Match screen, on the Options tab, verify that both checkboxes are ticked in the Athletes AI frame towards the bottom of the screen (Write requests and Read responses).
- Once you get to the coding screen, show the Athletes AI log by choosing View / Athletes AI from the top menu.
- This screen will automatically scan for position responses from Athletes AI, and show the status of any such files as they arrive. As Athletes AI works through all the clips provided, you should see more and more deliveries being updated.
- Data Flow & Viewing
To check that the data has sucessfully flowed through to your local database best to check through visuals available in the match dashboard (see below)
The pitch maps & beehives can be accessed through changing Beehive/Pitch filters from coded to imported in the Impact tab.
Note - that AthleteAI if a given delivery does not meet the minimum threshold it will not be accepted & ingested to the system.
Importantly once successful - ensure that you export the match to cloud to get data from your local database to the data warehouse.
