In mid-2026 the ability ingest Athlete's AI data from secondary computer has been developed through the collaborative coding function.
Below will be some for specific and step by step details to enable the functionality to be utilised, but in summary, primary (remote) coders can continue their matchday process, whilst a secondary coder can utilize Athlete's AI to bring through more ball tracking variables in Realtime to analyze and generate insights on matchday.
Step 1 - Match Shell Setup
Before the match make sure that in the match shell that you have ticked Write requests & Read responses and choose the specific angles you want to run. It is important to remember you will be unable to change until breaks in play during the games, ensure it is setup pre match.
Step 2 - Collaborative Coding Ingestion Enabled
In the lead up to the first ball make sure in the coder setup that collaborative coding has been enabled, this allows any data collated in the CC method to flow through to the primary coding computer and through to the statsserver.
Step 3 - Athlete's AI processing
On the secondary computer, ensure that receiver is on this will allow for write requests to flow through as the match is going and have collaborative coding open.
There are a couple of different workflows depending on the use case for enabling the Athlete's AI vision to process from here.
a) Video Review Cutting - Refer to Pat's documentation
- Important to ensure that Athlete's AI is looking for the particular views you have requested from the script
- You want to avoid it trying to process broadcast views or anything that may affect calibrations & processing time
b) Direct 50 FR completion - there might be some use cases where the primary coding computer is capturing at 50 FR but unable to use Athlete's AI. Secondary computer can help here by directly running from the match_ID number and processing the video in the folder.
c) Long video mode - There maybe use cases, where you may setup multiple cameras for post-match processing. Would recommend using the Video Cutting Reviewer for this as it will align with naming convention and pre built lead/lags, however there is a post match long video mode, which can be utilized.
- Collaborative Coding ingestion process
Once the videos has been processed by Athlete's AI, you can open Analyzer & Collaborative coding to allow the success flow of data through.
To do this you will need to select the match and relevant batting innings.
The collaborative coding control should then appear and you work through the relevant processes, then enable Athlete's AI coding option. Once this is enabled you should see the Athlete's AI log start processing with XMLs and you keep this open throughout.
5. Review, Remediate & Analyse
Once the data has been ingested into the match, you can review, remediate and analyze to the workflows of your choosing.
Reminder
- You can access the Bulk edit ball tracking function within the Coding setup, this will be the easiest way of identifying and remediate outliers.
