Athlete AI - In Game Coding Workflow

AthleteAI can be used to enhance & improve data quality within the

1. Video Capture & Calibration

Camera Settings

• 50 Frames per second is gold standard for optimal results.
• Athlete AI will work at 25 frames, however results will be compromised
• Take note that conversion of video source can produce "fake 50 frames" through duplication of 25 FPS video
• Preferred resolution is Full HD (1920x1080 pixels)
• Avoid interlacing where possible
• Do no over compress files

Video Capture Operations

• View of pitch should be >30% of frame height (Picture)
• Operate a station camera without panning/zoom where possible
• Pitch/Stumps and pitch markings need to be visible for calibration
• Short vs Long video mode provides flexibility in capture mode 

2. Match Shell Configuration

• When setting up Match Shell details - Ensure that Write Requests and Read Reponses are ticked

   

 

3. AthleteAI Setup

• Open up AthleteAI & wait for terminal to fire up
• Answer questions based off needs (short video recommended, folder not required of delivery videos, entering matchID of game)

• System will Idel for delivery

   

4. Coding Screen - Configuration & Calibration

• Once the coding screen is setup for play - look for the AthleteAI function in the view tab,
• Click Send calibration once deliveries have been captured - It is recommended that you send calibration after the first delivery at each end.

5. Data Flow & Viewing
6. Under the assumption that Outgoing feeds have been established and data is flowing through to receiver and Data Warehouse metrics can be accessed on a ball by ball basis.

The match dashboard is a common viewing point for this & can be accessed through changing Beehive/Pitch filters from coded to imported in the Impact tab.

Note - that AthleteAI if a given delivery does not meet the minimum threshold it will not be accepted & ingested to the system.

Note - that recent upgrades to AthleteAI are now allowing you view previous deliveries, to ensure deliveries are calibrated to required standards.
